Santa Visits Prestons of Bolton

One little girl from Bolton had a wonderful surprise when her name was drawn from hundreds to win the chance to ride in the horse drawn carriage with Father Christmas and his helpers to officially open the Grotto at the Prestons of Bolton store on Saturday 4th December.

5 year old Gracie Greenhalgh and her father joined Father Christmas, Hetty the Elf and Bella the wonder dog in their horse drawn carriage for the final part of the journey and were met by lots of excited children awaiting their arrival outside the store. Lots of children recognised Bella the wonder dog from the latest TV advertising campaign. Gracie also had the honour of being the first child to see Father Christmas in his grotto and tell him what presents she was wishing for this year.

All donations made by visitors to the grotto will be presented to Prestons of Boltons’ chosen charity KiDs of Bolton, which has been created by Wanderer’s Captain, Kevin Davies to give support to disadvantaged young people in the town.
